Library cards

Library cards are provided by the school library when you start at SSHL. Library cards from Sigtuna public library can also be used at the school library. It is important to inform us of any address or name change or if you lose your library card. Your school library card is also valid at other libraries in Sigtuna.

Loan Period

The normal loan period is four weeks. Shorter loan periods apply for certain books. During summer and Christmas vacations, extended loan periods apply. It is possible to renew your loan unless the book is reserved by someone else.

Reserving material

If a book is not available, it may be reserved. The library sends written notification when the book is available to borrow.

Late Returns

Reminders are sent out if books are not returned on time. Failure to return a book will result in suspension of your library card until the book is returned. Fees are invoiced (see below) for books not returned to the library on time.

Replacement of lost or damaged books

• 300 SEK

Valuable books that are lost or damaged will incur higher charges in keeping with replacement costs.
